As part of our contract under the PLANACON – National Contingency Plan with Oldelval, we carried out a Spill Control Drill at the Cantarelli Wetland Channel – Puerto Rosales.

The scenario considered the failure of one of the oil pipelines, allowing the implementation of various strategies for the containment and recovery of the spilled hydrocarbon.

In addition, man-overboard rescue maneuvers and assistance to oil-affected aquatic wildlife were carried out, reinforcing response protocols in emergency situations.

Each participating party carried out the necessary actions in order to assess response times and verify the proper availability and coordination of all technical and operational resources.

As in every operation, the safety of personnel was the top priority throughout the entire exercise.

We thank the representatives of Oldelval, the Argentine Naval Prefecture, the Puerto Rosales Port Management Consortium, and Civil Defense for their presence, whose support is essential to strengthening collaborative efforts and the continuous improvement of contingency protocols.
