Operational Preparedness for Emergency Situations

Emergency drills are a fundamental tool for strengthening operational preparedness, evaluating procedures, and optimizing the coordination of available resources in critical situations.

On this occasion, Lanchas del Sur S.A. participated in a comprehensive emergency drill at Bahía Blanca Terminal, aimed at putting response, monitoring, and resource mobilization procedures into practice in a risk scenario.

UAN Fertilizer Spill and Fire Risk

The drill simulated a UAN fertilizer spill with a risk of fire, activating specific response procedures and mobilizing specialized personnel, support vessels, and equipment dedicated to environmental protection and operational safety.

During the drill, notification procedures, initial assessment, containment boom deployment, pollution control measures, and response to a simulated fire were carried out.

Coordination, Response Times, and Continuous Improvement

This type of exercise makes it possible to assess coordination among the teams involved, response times, and the effectiveness of the available resources to respond safely and efficiently in an emergency.

With this participation, Terminal Bahía Blanca and Lanchas del Sur S.A. reaffirm their commitment to operational safety, environmental protection, and continuous improvement in the maritime and port sector.

Through its various areas of expertise, Lanchas del Sur S.A. continues to provide maritime, port, and environmental services designed to respond efficiently to the needs of the industry.
